It's such a perfect example of Stephen's complete and perfect faith in Jack and the Surprises. Of course the boat hardly rates a mention; Stephen knew they would come for them - Jack said so, and it's Mowett and the Surprises! Of course they will find them! As lost, lonely and unlikely as the limestone, Stephen still never doubted they'd be found :D
