Maybe Esteban? Even though that is just his name in Spanish. Or Catalan if you prefer ;-)

I always thought it was E for Esteban, too. Glad I'm not the only one. :D

I guess so, or as alltoseek suggested "Etienne", but essentially Stephen Stephen Maturin does not really make sense. Shame we cannot ask Weir.

Shame we cannot ask Weir, because Stephen Stephen Maturin does not really make sense?

Might just be the initials of whoever made the prop!

That would be shallow, wouldn't it, in a movie so given to correct details? *g*

Tea and scones?

But you could get away with it, because everyone would think, "Oh, the prop guy must know something we don't!" and then they'd go away and starting wondering, "Esteban, Eduardo...?" and nobody would know that it was really S[tuart] E[vans] from set design all along. It's foolproof!

Ooh yes please to the scones *holds out plate*

Logical, flawlessly logical!

*loades plate with scones and small bowls of cream and elderberry jam*
No tea?
*iz surprised*

I agree.

Might I have coffee with my scone, rather than tea? And plenty of jam and cream, of course.

There is always coffee round here - Esteven is generally offering the right true mocha.

*passes the jam and cream*

I may possibly not be a true Brit. Mind you, judging by the predominance for liking coffee as demonstrated by Jack, Stephen, Horatio Hornblower and others, I'm in good company. :D

*accepts the jam and cream* Why, thank you. :D

I don't think you technically HAVE to drink tea to claim British citizenship. Although you're on fairly shaky ground there, mate ;-)
